Clotted Cream Cottage: Your Luxury Escape in Dartmouth

Clotted Cream Cottage is a uniquely charming and historic property that combines peace and tranquility with modern comfort and convenience. Nestled within the tiny hamlet of Ash, just two miles from the historic naval town of Dartmouth, this beautifully furnished cottage offers a rural retreat close to the stunning Start Bay coastline.

The cottage boasts a large, attractive garden with pleasant country views across neighbouring farmland. This garden has been significantly extended to incorporate the neighbouring field, providing ample outdoor open space for dogs and children to run around and even camp. Guests can also relax and unwind in the hot tub or outdoor sauna, which are for the exclusive use of guests staying in the cottage.

The accommodation is on two levels and is ideal for families or couples (with or without dogs) looking for a peaceful rural retreat. The cottage features two comfortable and spacious bedrooms and a separate annex that can provide a 3rd bedroom for larger parties. The annex should be booked separately and guests should be aware that it involves steps to reach it and doesn’t have its own ensuite facilities.

In 2017, Oak Tree Lodge was added to the grounds of the cottage. This luxury ‘Shepherd’s Hut’ sleeps a further 4 people and can be rented independently, making it perfect for larger parties or those holidaying with extended family. Located discreetly behind a hedge with its own private entrance, the lodge does not impact on the privacy or enjoyment of the outdoor space for guests staying in the cottage.

With its peaceful location, modern amenities, and convenient proximity to Dartmouth and the stunning Start Bay coastline, Clotted Cream Cottage is the perfect destination for your next holiday.
